EnglishCentral has been working with a few universities to add an English language learning plug-in to Moodle to enable interactive speech feedback, using speech assessment technologies. This Plug-In allows users to speak any line of a video and get instant feedback, including having their voice recorded and compared against native speech and each of their phonemes individually scored. The system also provides overall assessment of learners speaking challenges and recommends exercises for remediation.
