Hello All,  

We are delegation from Kazakhstan, looking for participating in conference however, we need official invitation letter from the organizing comity for the Visa approval. Could you please enlighten us on procedure or the people who knows the "how to"

Thank you for your interest in MAJ and our upcoming conference, MoodleMoot Japan 2019.

Unfortunately, as a modest academic association, we do not have the legal or financial status to be able to offer you an official invitation.

If you can make your own way to Japan, you are welcome to attend our conference, but we cannot offer you an "invitation" because doing so would mean we are completely responsible for your legal and financial well-being while you are in Japan. I'm afraid we cannot accept that responsibility.

We look forward to a time when residents of Kazakhstan and Japan can visit each other more freely.

Dear Gordon Bateson, 

We do not intend to get financial support from conference organizers or other entities. Financial quaranty for all spendings will be presented by our company, with all the details related to R4 Technology & Research LLP. All the accountability on legal issues that potentialy may occur will be on us (we will sign related documents).  

Conference organizers don't need to make quaranty in any form. However, according to representative from Japanese embassy in Kazakhstan for issuing visa they need official invitation letter filled by Conference Organizers for indication of purpose of stay.

Please take a look to the attached invitation letter.

I wonder if there are other more private ways to communicate with conference organizers. I couldn't find any email addresses or tel. numbers.
