Don Hinkelman is an associate professor of intercultural communication at Sapporo Gakuin University in Hokkaido. Earlier, he was a teacher-trainer at Hokkaido University of Education and a facilitator with the Institute of Cultural Affairs in USA, Kenya, Belgium and Japan. He researches blended learning--the principled combination of online and face-to-face modes of education. His PhD on blended learning is from the University of Melbourne and his masters degree in Leadership Studies from Azusa Pacific University, California, USA.
