I am a German teacher at four universities in Kyoto since 1992.

When I first heard of Moodle in 2012  I was very impressed of the possibilities and since

then I run a web server for my own Moodle site. Each semester I have about 230 students

and try to integrate Moodle in my teaching as much as possible.

Moodle can help to organize assignments, provides useful informations for further learning

and makes the communication between teacher & students easier.  In my opinion, however, it cannot

not replace the motivation to learn or the enthusiasm for teaching - it is still a question of personal commitment ...
