Poodll is a set of tools for language teachers in Moodle. It has been especially popular for video and audio assessments, and for creating course content, with its audio and video recording features. Many teacher and students will be familiar with Poodll. 

In 2018 we introduced Cloud Poodll which is a major redesign and upgrade of Poodll. In this presentation we will outline those changes and their benefits. 

"Cloud Recording" records and save files completely in the Poodll cloud. This means you need to store much less data on your Moodle server, and Moodle backups stay small. It also makes installing and updating Cloud Poodll very easy.

The "Cloud Poodll API" allows anyone who knows javascript to add a Poodll recorder to their project. It will work even outside of Moodle and without Poodll installed. 

Cloud Poodll "AI widgets" are based on our tight integration with Amazon AWS. Using Amazon speech to text and text to speech we have created speech flash cards, dictation, text reader and other widgets.

"Automatic subtitling" of audio and video is also part of Cloud Poodll. To support this we created a Moodle subtitle editor and audio players with subtitles. It currently supports English, Spanish and French.
