- Presentation abstract発表の要約
Over the last twenty years, the Moodle quiz module has become a powerful tool to formatively and summatively test students. Its wide range of question and feedback types is outstanding compared to many learning management systems. A group of interested users including universities and a Moodle Partner from different continents has been working over the last several months on laying a sound basis for the Moodle quiz engine of the future. This includes more flexibility to fit diverse needs even more appropriately. In this presentation, the creators of the Quiz Module will show you what has already changed in Moodle 4.0, and what will change in 4.1 as the question bank will become an independent Moodle activity, which makes sharing and maintaining questions much easier. This presentation includes a view beyond that milestone. We will present our ideas on how the future of Moodle quiz engine could or should look like and invite you to participate in this vivid process.

Over the last years Moodle quiz has become a powerful tool to formatively and summatively test students. Its wide range of question and feedback types is outstanding compared to many learning management systems. A group of interested users including big universities and a Moodle Partner from different continents has been working over the last several months on laying a sound basis for the Moodle quiz engine of the future. This includes more flexibility to fit the diverse needs even more appropriately. In this presentation, we will show you what will change already in Moodle 4.0, as the next step in 4.1 the question bank will become an independent Moodle activity, which makes sharing and caring for questions much easier. This presentation includes a view beyond that milestone. We will present our ideas on how the future of Moodle quiz engine could or should look like and invite you to participate in this vivid process.

Feedback The upcoming changes to the question bank are indeed something I would like to know more about, but this abstract doesn't inspire confidence that such knowledge is held by the author. For example, the presentation starts by talking about the quiz for assessment, but meanders to compare Moodle with "many learning management systems" in what comes off as mere boasting. Later this sentence: "A group of interested users including big universities and a Moodle Partner from different continents has been working over the last several months on laying a sound basis for the Moodle quiz engine of the future" doesn't actually say anything other than the idea that work is in progress. The final sentence: "We will present our ideas on how the future of Moodle quiz engine could or should look like and invite you to participate in this vivid process. " suggests that the authors are actually involved in the process, though the previously cited sections suggest the exact opposite. Don't get me wrong, the topic is on point and important to all moodlers, but this abstract needs rewriting. I really hope this abstract is rewritten and resubmitted to outline a presentation that introduces what will change, how it will change and a general timeline for when we can expect to see these changes. Also maybe a bit on what your average moodler should do to prepare for the coming changes (or shining the light on what they'll be able to do in the future) would be nice.

Feedback This presentation sounds very interesting. Over the last years Moodle quiz. . . -> last few years? last five years? Only 'last years' sounds like the end of the world.
