- Presentation abstract発表の要約
About five years ago, Martin Dougiamas founded the Moodle Users Association (MUA) as a worldwide non-for-profit organization that connect users (individuals and institutions) from around the world. As a core benefit, members can propose projects they want to see in the core, and if this project is selected in internal voting, it will be implemented in the Moodle core code. The association has evolved over the years, inspired by organizations like the Moodle Association of Japan. In this presentation, we will look back to past success stories but also give an insight, what the Moodle Users Association is at the moment and why it makes sense to become a member. We will also discuss how the Moodle Association of Japan can be a model for other associations across Asia and perhaps the world.

Feedback This doesn't really sound like a Moot presentation that requires vetting. . . ? It seems to be content that would be delivered in an address (Keynote or otherwise).

Feedback Where I would like to see a presentation introducing the MUA, I think such introductions should be kept brief. Hence perhaps change the length to a Lightning talk? On the other hand if our guests from the MUA are co-presenters then the longer presentation length may be warranted. There are some grammatical errors and the opening line's "About five years ago. . . " would be better if the authors could be more precise and look up the exact year MUA was founded. Finally, although I am all for encouraging people to become members of MUA, it would also be worth noting that members of MAJ are already contributing indirectly via MAJ's Gold Membership.
