Sending an update message to submitters

I'm planning to send out this email to the submitters to clarify what we need them to do. The deadline for edits to the proposals will be Friday at 12:00 JST.

Dear Submitter

Thank you for your grant application for the Moodle Association of Japan's 2024 Research and Development grants.

We have completed the initial reviews of your application. The committee members (Yoshi, Don, Thom, and Matt) have left comments on each proposal with questions or requests for more information.

Please access the Google document provided in this email and make edits to the proposal. Please respond to each of the comments by doing the following:

  • Changing or adding to the proposal as requested by the comment/feedback.
  • Replying to the comment with an explanation as to why it doesn't need to be changed.
  • Replying to a comment with a question if the comment is unclear.
We ask that you complete this process before Friday, August 16, 2024@12:00 JST.

I have sent out three new emails with clear instructions for the Grant submitters. We should have edits by Friday noontime the latest. 補助金の提出者に明確な指示を出した新しいメールを3通送った。遅くとも金曜日の正午までには編集が終わるはずだ。

Hi Thom,

I understand the need for clear instructions. Your writing is very clear. I wish you could give more time for the committee members to review your draft (I know, I know--that is the complaint you and Yoshi had about my letter). Specifically, the deadline you stated is your individual opinion but not sensitive to the needs of the applicants. Adam said in the comments that he needed about two weeks to get estimates and Rein asked for two more weeks. Can you revise the letter to say an August 26th?

I will send an update telling people the new deadline [August 26@12:00 JST].

Adam J. has already completed his edits. Mr. Kameda has had trouble accessing the Google documents. I will send him a reminder on how to access. I hope he will finish soon.
