The 19th MoodleMoot Japan, 2027
We are looking for Moodle users who would like to talk about their Moodle experiences. We would very much like teachers, students, administrators, programmers, thinkers, and theorists... anyone who uses Moodle, to inform the MoodleMoot participants about how they use Moodle and how to use Moodle effectively. We are looking forward to submissions from all Moot participants.
Attendees are likely to consist of some experienced users, some who have been using Moodle for a year or so, and quite a few people who have never used Moodle. MoodleMoot presentations will be in both English and Japanese.

Moodleで創る、これからの学び:AI時代におけるLMSの役割
Shaping the Future of Learning with Moodle: The Role of the LMS in the Age of AIGenerative AI is changing education at a remarkable pace. Learners can now turn to AI for answers at any moment, and teachers can use it to produce materials and activities in minutes. This raises a question worth asking: what is the role of a learning management system in this new landscape? MoodleMoot Japan 2027 invites you to explore that question and to reflect on what Moodle contributes to education. We especially encourage submissions that highlight the strengths an LMS brings beyond what AI alone can offer, such as thoughtful course design, meaningful assessment and feedback, communities of learners, responsible handling of learner data, and institutional support for teaching. Work involving AI-powered plugins, courseware development, or contributions to the Moodle community in Japan and around the world is equally welcome. Whatever your field and whatever the scale of your project, we look forward to presentations that help shape a better future for learning.
