With David Campbell stepping down as director of R&D, I think Shirai-sensei probably needs to take a leading role for the interim until we figure out who will be a director of R&D in the new fiscal year.
That being said, the single grant proposal submitted by Don to enhance the internal conference system on the MAJ Moodle website should be put aside for now. Gordon Bateson has also stepped down as a Vice President of the executive committee and although he intends to continue on as a member of the board of directors, I have heard from others that he may wish to discontinue the development of that customized system in favor of something off the shelf.
May I propose we reject the grant submission or at least pause the process until there is a clearer direction for MAJ at this time?
