Presentation Description
The war in Sudan forced universities to shift to online learning under extremely difficult conditions, where internet instability and limited resources challenged fair assessment. This Presentation highlights the collaborative effort between Eduversity and Quilgo to create a secure and accessible online examination environment for Sudanese students.
By integrating Quilgo with Eduversity’s e-learning platform, developed through the collaboration between the two companies, the system enables automatic photo capturing and screen monitoring during exams, helping to detect and reduce cheating while using minimal internet bandwidth. This lightweight solution proved suitable for areas affected by poor connectivity and ongoing conflict.
The results showed a clear improvement in exam transparency, fairness, and student accountability. This collaboration demonstrates how simple digital tools and local innovation can protect academic integrity and sustain education during crises.About the Presenter
Almonzer Salah is an experienced E-Learning Educator at Eduversity Company. He has held leadership roles, including Head of the E-Learning Department at the International University of Africa and Al Fajr College for Science and Technology. With extensive expertise in Moodle, Almonzer has successfully transitioned traditional paper-based exams to Moodle exams in more than 10 universities across Sudan.
In addition to his practical experience, Almonzer has published several papers on the topic of E-Learning, contributing valuable insights to the field. Throughout his career, he has trained over 800 teachers and supported the learning of more than 15,000 students across various institutions. Almonzer holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the International University of Africa and a master's degree in computer science from Sudan University of Science and Technology. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Presentation Description
H5P is one of Moodle’s most powerful tools for creating interactive, student-centered learning experiences. With more than 40 activity types available, it offers enormous potential, but for many instructors, the variety can feel overwhelming, making it difficult to know where to start. This session is designed to cut through that complexity by focusing on practical, high-impact H5P activities that can be created in 10 minutes or less.
Participants will see live demonstrations of five versatile activities: Fill in the Blanks, Drag the Words, Crossword, Image Hotspots, and Flashcards. Together, these examples highlight different ways to engage learners: through quick checks of understanding, interactive visuals, puzzle-based problem solving, and memory practice. Each activity will be built live to show just how fast and easy H5P can be, with tips for adapting them across a wide range of teaching contexts.
By the end of the session, attendees will leave with classroom-ready examples, practical workflows, and the confidence to start building H5P activities that make Moodle courses more engaging without requiring extensive preparation time.About the Presenter
Chad is the Senior Instructional Designer at Oakland University as well as a Moodle trainer and H5P Ambassador. He has experience working in secondary and higher education as a language teacher since 2014 and as an instructional designer and e-learning specialist since 2020. He holds a Master’s degree in German studies and TESOL from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in German studies and classical guitar performance from Albion College.

Presentation Description
Moodle’s language support is vast, but it isn’t always complete. This presentation provides a deep dive into the Moodle translation process and offers a guide for supporting under-represented languages. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to build a translation workflow that leverages local talent to create a truly native experience. Using the Burmese translation project as a case study, we will demonstrate how a language can move from nearly zero support to a fully functional, usable platform, providing a blueprint for your own localization efforts.
About the Presenter
Luc is a senior assistant Professor at Sojo University in Kumamoto. He works at the SILC and is in charge of the IoT / AI club where he helps students tinker with hardware of all sorts. He has helped translate Moodle into the Burmese language with the help of Building Markets NPO.

Moodle 5.2が4月20日にリリースされました。Composerを使用した新しいインストール方法が利用可能になったことから、これはMoodleにとって歴史的なリリースと言えます。Composerは、長い歴史を持つPHP用の有名な依存関係管理ツールです。今後は、Moodleのインストール、アップグレード、さらにはプラグインの管理までもがComposerで行えるようになります。さらに、Composerが提供する依存関係管理機能により、OpenTelemetryの統合など、新たな統合の可能性が広がります。このウェビナーでは、Composerを使用してMoodleをインストールする方法、プラグインをインストールする方法、そして将来のMoodleとプラグインの更新をインストールする方法の基本について解説します。
講師紹介
アダム・ジェンキンス氏は、静岡理工科大学の准教授であり、同大学のMoodleプラットフォーム「iLearn@SIST」のシステム管理者も務めています。システム管理者として、80名以上の教授と、全学で1,600名以上の学生に提供されている約450のオンライン講座を統括しています。また、WiseCatのYouTubeチャンネルにて、Moodleの管理に関する解説動画を制作しています。

内容
Moodleはその利用を通じて、多種多様な学習履歴を保存していくことが可能です。しかし、これらのデータはデータベース上に保存されてこそいるものの、学習分析や教学IR（Institutional Research）といった活動に使うにあたっては困難が生じることもあります。例えば複数のコースをまたいだ横串での学習履歴の分析を行うためには、標準機能だけでは困難であり、データを1度CSV等でダウンロードしてから解析する、などの対応が必要になります。また、このようにデータをダウンロードして専用アプリで解析するのは手間であり、一般ユーザ（教育者・学習者）の利用には不便なものとなってしまいます。加えて、情報によっては通常の「ログ」だけでは十分な記録が残されていないケースなども存在します。
このような状況を改善するために、過去のMootでも簡易的なプラグイン開発を通じたデータの収集や通知機能の改善に取り組んできました。今回の発表では、これらの紹介と合わせ、2026年度に手を加えたプラグインの紹介などを行います。プラグインを導入する、という障壁は残ってしまいますが、Moodle上での学習分析やデータの可視化を進めるための方策について、みなさんと意見交換できれば幸いです。
講師紹介
自治医科大学 医学教育センター 准教授。自治医科大学 メディカルシミュレーションセンター 助教、同 情報センター講師を経て現在に至る。シミュレーションセンター在籍時より、学内・院内の種々のシミュレーションに関する設計・運用の支援を行っている。このほか、LMS（Moodle等）の管理運営および教学IR（Institutional Research）を担当してきた。医学教育センター異動後は特にMoodleの管理運営や学習支援と合わせ、各種データに基づく教育評価、ICTを活用した教育の設計・改善の検証などを進めている。また、生成AIの医学教育における導入・運用のための指針・ルール作り等にも関与している。
Moodle Educator Certification（現 Moodle Educator Qualification）取得。eラーニングプロフェッショナル シニア資格（マネージャー、エキスパート、ラーニングデザイナー、コンテンツクリエイター）取得。

Artificial intelligence is one of the most talked-about developments in higher education, but how does it actually work within Moodle? This session shares lessons learned from an instructional design team that has been testing AI tools and integrations in real Moodle courses.
We will provide an overview of the testing process, including the types of AI tools evaluated, the methods used to assess their effectiveness, and the challenges encountered along the way. The session highlights both the potential benefits of AI—such as streamlining content development and supporting personalized learning—and its shortcomings, particularly around accessibility, transparency, and academic integrity.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the current landscape of AI in Moodle; what it can realistically achieve, where it falls short, and how to make informed decisions about using it in their own teaching. Rather than focusing on hype, this session emphasizes practical insights and evidence-based reflections that educators can immediately apply when considering AI integration in their courses.About the Presenter
